Here at Black Forest Academy, our staff are educators, teachers, athletic coaches, advisers, counselors, resident assistants, dorm parents, and mentors. We have a passion for bringing excellence into all areas of a student’s experience here at BFA. There are currently 165 staff members with over 1,000 years experience combined. They come from all over the world: the United States of America, Canada, Australia, UK, Europe, and more.

Dorm Parent - Palmgarten, Res. LifeRetired early from TE Connectivity where Dave managed a Test Lab in TE's Fiber Optics Development Group. While Dave has participated in short term missions trips in the past, this is the first endeavor in full time mission work. He's very active in his home church, enjoys hunting and spending time with his three precious grandchildren.

Linda M. Fisher

Dorm Parent - Palmgarten, Res. LifeLinda's earlier work experience has been in clerical settings: bank, manufacturing office, school office, motorcoach company, dentist office and church offices. Her favorite positions included not only computer work but interacting with people. The dental office while being her hardest boss relationship was also one of her favorite positions because she was able to chat with all the patients and tried to make them comfortable being there.
Linda has been involved in ministry in many areas of church life: taught Sunday School to children since she was 16; was involved in leading worship for women's ministry functions as well as leading various Women's Bible Studies; sang and played piano for worship team ministries.

Chris Greathouse

Res. Life, Dorm Parent - Middle SchoolChris and his wife Jenny, come from Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Chris began teaching Physical Education and Health classes in the Fall of 2002. He served 4 ½ years in the Air Force as a medic. He and his wife attended John Brown University where he graduated with a BSE in Physical Education, Health, and Coaching. He then served for four years as a youth pastor. He has been teaching for the last 11 years and enjoys coaching the guy’s varsity soccer team.

R.A. - Blauen, Res. LifeJessica graduated with a B.A in Intercultural Communications from Bethany College of Missions. Before coming to BFA, she served in Africa as a part of her college career for 18 months as a pre-school teacher's assistant and assisted with literacy projects. Jessica spent a year as a Third Culture Kid (TCK) consultant and media assistant at Bethany College of Missions. Grew up as an missionary kid (MK) and has been traveling every since. Her recent home base is Detroit, Michigan.

Dorm Parent, Res. LifeDavid has been married to Jennifer for 21 years and they have six children. David grew up in Nebraska, which is their home base, but he and Jennifer have lived and ministered overseas, in South America and Southeast Asia, for eleven of their years of marriage. David has been a teacher and involved in education for most of his adult life.

Dorm Parent - Sonne, Res. LifeJennifer grew up as an MK in Central and South America. Jennifer & David have been married for 21 years and have 6 children- 5 boys and 1 girl. They are with Rejoice Ministries International and have served for two years in Peru and 8 years in Laos where David taught English as a second language, and Jennifer helped form a home-school co-op for ex-pats. They both find great joy in serving in Pastoral Care.
