Please download the Application Packet that corresponds to your student’s grade. If the student is going to be living in a school residence, download the Residence (Dorm) Student Application packet as well. Once these are completed, send the applications using one of the methods listed in the Application Process.

Site Help: Student Reference Request Form
- Three references are required by Students entering grades 7 to 12.
- References should be submitted by your pastor, a teacher, and an adult friend.
- The reference form can be returned by post, fax or email.
Site Help: School Physical
- The physical is required for entrance and is to be completed by a physician within two months before entering BFA as a student.
- The physical does not need to be returned at time of application.
- The school physical form will stand as a sports physical for one calendar year, from the date of completion.
Site Help: Residence (Dorm) Request
If your student is 13 years old and going to be living in a school residence, you will need to fill out the Residence Student Application. If your student is not going to live in a school residence, this form is not required.

About the Bilingual School
The bilingual school is called Christliche Schule Kandern or CSK. The classes are taught in both German and English. If you are unfamiliar with this part of BFA you can read more on our page about this school.

Please make sure you include all application materials in one package. They should be sent to the following address, with the exception of the School Physical, Student Record Request Form and the Student Reference Forms, which will be sent separately to BFA by those completing them.

Grade Placement
Will be determined by:
- Credits earned and needed for graduation.
- The official documents provided.
- The professional judgment of our Guidance Department, teachers and principals.
- Final acceptance will be determined by the BFA Admissions Committee.
Acceptance Process
The Admissions Committee will carefully follow the Admission Policy (policy #4212) of the school when considering the applicant’s suitability to join the student body of BFA. Admittance will be based upon the following:
- A complete application with positive references.
- A willingness on the part of the parents to partner with BFA in the education of their children.
- A willingness on the part of the student to conform to the expectations as given in the handbook.
- The availability of space, both in the classroom and the residences.
- The availability of sufficient qualified staff with the strengths needed to deal with any special needs the student may have.
- In addition, the Admissions Committee will seek to comply with the BFA Board’s mandated prioritization of new students.
Student Acceptance or Denial
Acceptance or denial will be issued in writing based upon the decision of the Admissions Committee. BFA reserves the right to refuse admittance to any student who does not meet the Admission Policy, or is not in agreement with the BFA philosophy.

Student Record Request Form
- Please complete and give to the appropriate official at your school.
- The academic records from the previous year, as well as a current report card, must be sent with the application.
- Also, an official transcript for High School students must be received for the application to be processed.
