Spiritual Emphasis Week

Spiritual Emphasis Week

Every year at about this time, we take pause amid the hum of activity that a new school year brings. We call it Spiritual Emphasis Week, but what we’re doing, really, is setting the pace for the busy year ahead. We do this, the staff and students of BFA, because we recognize that God is the centre of our lives.

To help us this year, we’re blessed to be joined by our special guest Richard Hardee who is the pastor and head of the school for Calvary Baptist Church and Day School. He will be joined by the worship team from his church as well. We’re excited to kick off the 2014-15 school year by taking time to emphasize the importance of our continuing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Impact Day

On Wednesday of Spiritual Emphasis Week, all of BFA exits out of our classrooms and offices, and into the community. Working closely with the City of Kandern, we engage in service activities in and around the Kandern area. We’re thankful for our community, and this is just a small token of our gratitude. The education our students receive in the classroom is reinforced by the valuable experiences they share outside the classroom. Impact Day is one of these valuable experiences, for staff and students alike.

Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing media from Spiritual Emphasis Week and Impact Day on our Facebook page. Check it out for regularly updated media, and join the conversation.
