Black Forest Academy places a high value on child safety and aims to provide an environment where students are protected and treated with respect and dignity. BFA has made a commitment to abide by local law and embrace the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. BFA is a Member of the Child Safety & Protection Network which is a collaborative network of organizations intentionally and strategically addressing the issues of child protection.

BFA strives to safeguard children through regular training for staff and volunteers, thorough screening, proactive education and safeguarding training for all students, and effective responses when abuse is suspected, reported or disclosed. All reports, whether current or historical, will be responded to by a trained team led by BFA’s Child Protection Lead.
